I recently started using an online dating website. It’s kinda fun I guess. I’ve had no hits or stars or hearts or matches or whatever and a total of maybe 4 people have even bothered to look at my profile. Not that I’m complaining, I’m not exactly taking it very seriously at the moment so it doesn’t bother me that the internet doesn’t seem to think I’m greater than toast but hey I get that I’m not the most eligible and I have some definite hang ups.
That, however, is not what amazes me*, what amazes me are there are people out there that I have a 0 (zero) percent match with. Zero. Nothing in common. I mean zero is pretty definite isn’t it? If we met in real life we’d probably dislike each other so much that the universe would have to re-create itself just to avoid any rupture in itself. We disagree on everything apparently, you name it we see opposite sides of two different coins 12 years apart.
Sharing no similar traits with someone makes me wonder, which one of us is the robot? The I realize I’m being silly because it’s clearly not me. I’m adorable.
If you find me on a dating site pawing through your photos, please don’t be alarmed. I’m friendly and as far as I can tell really quite harmless. Apparently deep down some women even find me not repulsive to look at. That’s a plus right?
*Yeah, I’m amazed that people don’t find me attractive ha ha because let’s face it we’re judging people by there profile pictures.
